A service of Bethany Christian Services in partnership with the Michigan Department of Human Services.

About Us

Welcome to the Post Adoption Resource Center (PARC) website. We are here to be a resource for families with children ages 21 years or younger who have been adopted from Michigan’s foster care system, adopted in Michigan through an international adoption, adopted in Michigan through a domestic infant adoption, or placed in guardianship through Michigan’s foster care system and are eligible for guardianship assistance through MDHHS adoption subsidy office. Bethany’s PARCs are available to serve families who live in Regions 2, 3, and 4. The PARCs are a partnership of Bethany Christian Services and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

PARC’s services include:

  • Adoptive Family Support
PARC offers monthly groups and activities for adoptive families, as well as quarterly training opportunities on issues related to adoption.
  • Coordination of Community Services
PARC helps adoptive families identify and utilize appropriate community resources and will assist them with coordinating and applying for supportive services.
  • Dissemination of Information
PARC provides daily telephone and email access for adoptive families to request information about general supportive services, and to help them connect with community resources.
  • Case Management Services
PARC provides short term (6-8 weeks) adoption sensitive in-home case management to support adoptive families who are dealing with challenges. This includes developing an intervention plan designed to address the specific needs of the family.

Please explore our website. You will find adoption relevant articles and resources, a calendar of family friendly community events, as well as the upcoming PARC events in your region. Be sure to check out our quarterly newsletter designed especially for adoptive families.

Can anyone please clarify on the necessity of obtaining a certificate of citizenship for foreign adopted children. Could adopted children really face deportation if they do not have one? Does it affect all ages?
